Press Release Body: At the beginning of the 90s of the last century there appeared
and widely developed such forms of unorganized commerce as trade fairs and markets.
Starting from 2000 trade and exhibitions complexes gained more and more weight. The
next stage was supermarkets' building.

In general, you can say that stages of the development of shopping centres in
Belarus highly resemble tendencies, taking place, among other countries, in Russia
and Ukraine. Among the major tendencies are the gradual decrease of unorganized
commerce rate, the arrival of international network operators at the market,
building of big shopping centres in the outskirts of the city adjacent to big
interchanges and building of entertainment areas in shopping centres.

However, all this appeared in Minsk with a four or five-year delay. At least, this
has been the situation until recently. Over the last few years the rates of shopping
centres' development increased, which makes us hope for the decrease of the
temporary difference.

As mentioned above, such notions as trade and exhibition complex, shopping centre
and supermarket have become part of the daily life of Minsk residents in the last
few years. The number of such objects grows before our very eyes. Moreover, as the
practice shows, the demand for them does not go down in a constantly growing city.
All this makes it possible to say confidently that huge shopping centres' building
is a profitable funds investment. The evidence of this is the considerable interest
of investors.
One of the biggest companies mobilizing investments into Minsk building is the \"BNK
Engineering\" companies group in Belarus under the direction of Lebanese businessman
Abdo Romeo Abdo. The following are the projects of the company:

A business centre in Kalvarijskaja Street, Minsk. . The total area is 18, 000 square
metres. Prospective volume of investments - 15 million US dollars.
A business centre on Dzerzhinsky Avenue, Minsk. The total area is 18, 000 square
metres. Prospective volume of investments - 15 million US dollars.
A multifunctional administrative-trading centre on railroad side square, Minsk. The
total area is 45, 000 square metres. . Prospective volume of investments - 30
million US dollars.
\"Hyatt\" 5-star hotel, Minsk, 260 rooms. Approximate volume of investments - 55
million US dollars.
\"Druzhba\" Residential area, Minsk. The total area is 287, 000 square metres.
Prospective volume of investments - 150 million US dollars.
\"Lebiazhy\" Residential area, Minsk. The total area is 100, 000 square metres.
Prospective volume of investments - 150 million US dollars.

Taking into consideration Mr. Abdo Romeo Abdo's figures that just these projects
investments exceed 100 mln. US dollars and that these objects' popularity grows
among the population, one can be convinced of successful realization of the future
projects.
